About Me

My name is Donna and I live in Fairbanks, Alaska with my husband Chris.  We have been married for 26 years now.  We have two young adult sons.  My oldest son, Jared, is 24 and my youngest son, Riley, is 21.  We also have a 2 year old beagle named Buddy who is pretty spastic. 

I have always been a crafty person and tend to collect hobbies.  I love to crochet and knit, just recently got into beading/bead weaving, and now cross stitch/embroidery.  My husband encourages my hobbies that don't take up as much space.  He wants to park in the garage... go figure.  He's a great guy and does a lot for me since my health really holds me back.  I have Fibromyalgia and Psoriatic Arthritis, Restless Limbs Syndrome, and a familial essential tremor.  I try not to dwell too much on negative stuff so when I feel bad I throw myself into reading or crafting if possible.  I hate being asked "How are you feeling?", which never has a positive answer. 

My husband does all the grocery shopping and all the driving.  He will even pick things up at craft stores for me and he's a very manly man that doesn't like to be seen in what he considers "girly places."  He really does have some silly notions.  He doesn't use umbrellas because he says, "I'm a dude."  Whatever...  go ahead and get wet if you want... dude.  Of course, we don't have a lot of rain here like in other places where you would get washed away.  Here you can usually dash into a store without getting too wet.  I'll still keep him.
